Born in Cairo and inspired by the Egyptian beaches, Wellooz is about creating beach towels and essential wear that elevate your summer vibes and make your days by the water effortless

Our goal at Wellooz is simple: make better beach towels while honoring our local heritage. We know how important it is to have a towel you can actually rely on. After countless days spent on the sand, we knew the classic beach towel - heavy, slow to dry, and always sandy - was holding us back from the life we loved.

Our solution was to merge the beach lifestyle we love with Egypt's long history of making great textiles. We make our signature beach towels with microfiber so they shed sand easily and dry fast. For our essential wear, we use premium Egyptian cotton because there is simply nothing better to wear after a long day at the beach. We create products for people like us - people who just love being by the water.

Meet the founder

I started Wellooz right here in Cairo. My name is Ahmed, and the idea came to me after years of spending my summers on Egypt's beaches.

From the North Coast and Gouna to Dahab and Marsa Alam, I've spent a lot of my life by the sea. But during those trips, I noticed something frustrating: even though we have some of the best beaches in the world, we didn't have a solid beach towel we could rely on.

Everyone knows about the quality of Egyptian cotton, yet right here at home, we weren't treating it right or showing it off with the same pride that other places do with their textiles, like Turkish cotton. I wanted to change that narrative.

Combining my love for the beach with a desire to highlight our local materials, I decided to build Wellooz. My dream isn't just to sell on our local beaches, but to take this brand from Egypt to everywhere - sharing our lifestyle and the real quality of our textiles with the world.
